For that get-away-from-it-all holiday, relax on one of our patios or balconies with a glass of wine, or soak up the special ambiance of Slovenian life in one of the many local cafes and bars. Maybe try one of the famous Bled Cakes! In the summer, enjoy a swim in Lake Bled or Lake Bohinj and sunbath on the lake shores surrounded by magnificent scenery.

Enjoy an evening barbecue in our garden or visit a village restaurant 200 metres away, renowned locally for its fish dishes.

If you prefer an outdoor, active holiday, Slovenia is the place to be.

For sightseeing, there are many places to visit in Slovenia, all within easy reach of the apartment. The borders with Austria and Italy are nearby, within a half hour drive.

Don't be restricted to the traditional July-August holiday season. Slovenia has a great summer season from May to October, followed by skiing and other winter sports and lots of festive activities at Xmas and New Year. Our accommodation provides the ideal base to visit all areas of Slovenia or to pop across the border into Austria or Italy.

TRAVEL INFORMATION.   Easyjet has a daily flight from Stansted UK to Ljubljana. Book early for a bargain flight. Adria Airways operates flights from London Gatwick to Ljubljana. Ryanair runs flights from Stansted to Klagenfurt in Austria - 45 minute drive away from Bled. An alternative is to get a flight to Venice then drive across Northern Italy via Triest into Slovenia. About 2.5 hours to Bled. For European travellers there are excellent autoroutes all the way to Slovenia. For links to travel websites click HERE.

ACTIVITIES: Slovenia offers more activities than we can list, but here goes! Swimming in local indoor pools or in Lake Bled during the summer. Walking at all levels of difficulty in some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Plenty of golf courses in stunning settings. Skiing, snow-boarding and ice skating in winter. Fishing - in the local river 200 metres from our house. Mountain-biking, canoeing, rafting, horse riding, para-gliding, rock climbing, birdwatching ..........
